-> WC>The H.P. has one ISA slot occupied by an NE2000 network card.
-> WC>That gives me two spare PCI slots.
-> My little HP Pavilion 4455 also has 1 ISA and 2 PCI
-> The ISA has a Hardware v.92 Modem and 1 pci slot han a 2 port USB-2
-> card. NO sound yet but that will fill it up. I am looking for an old
-> Sound Blaster 16 PCI card
Hmmph, my 4483 lacks USB 2.0 but has 1.1 instead :-(
I've a SoundBlaster 16 sound card but it's ISA.
The Turtle Beach hardware sound card is in one of my three PCI
slots.
I've still got the OEM software sound card - modem here, it's PCI
but it has this small daughter board just for the jacks that mounts at
the top rear of the case.
PITA just to remove the thing and Verizon no longer supports the
software modem's protocols.
Cheap ADSL has arrived here and soon as I slap the hard drive in this
sucker I'm going DSL.
