An easy way to figure if they =will= fit is to lay a straight edge along the
backside of the rim...measure to the mounting surface and compare with the
factory wheel.. If the tire isn't on the rim, you can also check the wheel
width and estimate the offset by doing a few more measurements..a tape
measurement of the wheel-well will tell you if the mounted tire will fit...
A few years ago, I measured and estimated what it would be like to put 78-79
Trans-AM Snowflake wheels on my IROC Camaro.. The wheels are 1" wider (8")
and have a + offset of 3/4"...I now have a "wide track" Camaro...nice ride
with better cornering ability than what was on it.
You see Camaro's everyday with the factory wheels, 15", 5 spoke factory
mags...ugly and ordinary! A set of 16" IROC wheels would be better, but then
I'd have to buy tires that cost $150-200 each...
... Given a conflict, Murphy's Law supersedes Newton's..
