Well it's available as a Linux binary so I could just set it down in a directory with other binaries. Perhaps there's a Linux native OLR already in this release. Well I enlarged my Linux native partition today to just under 2 Gig with the swap file set to 128 Meg after a scandisk and defrag last night. Looks like there are a lot of GUI tools to assist moving the OS to the hard drive so it's going to be experiment time for a bit now. Need to find LinLoader in there somewhere so I can boot out of DOS. Now I'm thinking I should have given Knoppix 3 Gig instead of two. Finances are really messed up just now but I'll send something your way next month and quite possible snag a copy of Debian Linux as well. WC> This is my operating system of choice without question. KNOPPIX certainly is CA> impressive and deserves to be seen and used by people who don't CA> get to see a full Linux install frequently. :-) Well this is going to be a really tough month for a number of reasons but this CD is going to go a long way towards making it tolerable :-) Can't hardly wait to move it to the hard drive. Guess I should have made a tiny type 83 partition to store the config files off the CD ITMT but I neglected to do so. --- MultiMail/MS-DOS v0.45* Origin: FONiX Info Systems * Berkshire UK * www.fonix.org (2:252/171) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 252/171 140/1 106/2000 633/267 |
