There are configuration options to allow you to store
your configuration, pppd settings, POP 3, SMTP, ect.
in a partition, even FAT 32 on the hard drive.

I now have four partitions.
FAT 32, tiny Linux native, 128 Meg swap and 2 Gig Linux native.
