I have been using TM 4.12 for some time, and have had problems getting good 
connects at 14.4K (I have an internal USR Sportster 14.4K). The local BBS 
that I point off gives me no trouble, but quite often long distance calls 
will not give me good connects unless I drop the modem back to 9600. I was 
wondering if this is common with Telemate, or if there were any tweaks that I 
could make to help this. The problem is usually that the modems start 
handshaking and then timeout.
