subject: more SOUND vs. ARTIST?

GE>Like most albums produced by artists with a braod range of musica tastes
GE>and talents, each composition had its own unique qualities. And since
GE>all the definitions of Prog-Rock describe the SOUND of a pisce of music,
GE>and not the band or artist creating it, how could anyone NOT regard a
GE>song that SOUNDS like it fits the definition of Prog-Rock as being
GE>Prog-Rock, even if it is surrounded by other songs that do not fit the
GE>definition?
There you go with this "SOUND vs. ARTIST" distinction like it's some
huge revelation you have had. Of course it's the music that the artist
produces that is or is not prog, that goes without saying. I don't
think you'll get any arguments from anyone there - why are you looking
for one? Let's talk about those artists, those sounds, that music, OK?
This nit picking is getting ridiculous. You're not one of the
Progressive SOUND Police, are ya?
Seriously now George, you are preaching to the Choir here; there's no
need to. Let's discuss the MUSIC, OK?
