SK> CB> The New York State United Teachers has since reported that the
SK> CB> Catholic schools in New York City expel (return to the public
SK> CB> school system), on average, 3,000 students per year. Maybe if
SK> they
SK> CB> just held on to those who enroll?
SK>
SK> Interesting tidbit, there. I would suppose if the state were to run
SK> this program, there'd have to be some sort of compromise about the
SK> number
SK> of kids in the experimental group who would (possibly) be removed
SK> from
SK> the school.
And how many students do the _public_ schools in N.Y.C. expel? At least
some, because under federal law any kid caught with a gun at school _must_ be
expelled.
