RS> Yeah, lasting a surprisingly long time. Presumably its either

BG> I know that Marwick has two main southern feeds, and as far as I can

Yeah, had a closer look at some old packets yesterday. Certainly a hell
of a lot of traffic goes thru Dave Hatches 711/808, even if that does come
into Sydney thru 3M or Assorted C. If that has died, and I certainly havent
single message thats come thru it since the drought, it would explain what
we have seen in Sydney anyway. 711/809 is his other system and it appears
to be still up coz that rabid loon Grigor-Scott also gets his mail directly
off that and there have been just 4 from him since the drought. So it might
well be that 711/808 has carked it and Dave is away or something.

Most of the mail I looked at goes thru
711/808, including the feed from Adelaide.

RS> What about the stuff that Alwyn imports direct from OS, surely that
RS> stuff hasnt died as well ? Tho MB you dont read any of those yourself.

BG> Only HS_MODEMS, and that's been completely dead as well. It's a worry.

RS> Odder and odder. You cant even blame it on some problem with the internet
RS> feed from the US, albeit thru two different routes as far as I am aware.
RS> That doesnt explain why the stuff like Zone3_Tech has had nothing.

BG> Z3T is a good example of what's happening, too. Still
BG> mail from people in FNQ and SA (and a trickle from Vic),
BG> but nothing from NZ or Sydney that I can tell.

OK, not a sausage in ANY of the echoes I get
at all apart from the crap from Grigor-Scott.

Maybe the other stuff like DrDebug which does come into QLD
via Alwyn is still coming thru OK and its just that you dont
read ones that get their OS feed other than via Dave Hatch.

BG> Probably the same old problem of somebody's system running perfectly
BG> for 11 months, then crashing the very day they walk out the door for
BG> a 2-week holiday. Mr Murphy has struck again, it would appear...

Yeah, looks like it, it will be a week tomorrow. Hope he hasnt
gone away fro 3 weeks, might cark it from email starvation soon |-)
