GRUB is "GRand Universal Bootloader" or somesuch, it replaces LILO. With a typical windoze installation it likes to act like it "owns" the machine, and puts its own code into the MBR, which LILO or GRUB replaces. Not normally a problem unless you re-install windoze, at which point it gets overwritten... LOL WC> Yeah there's a lot of arrogant attitude out there in Linux land. Why should debian folks be expected to support knoppix? I can understand why they'd have a problem with that, and don't see anything particularly arrogant about this... WC> I'm into dark humor. WC> One of my all time favorite movies is "Dr. Strangelove." WC> Another favorite is "Catch 22", the book not the movie. I've got a little graphic I'm gonna send your way... :-) (done!) ---* Origin: TANSTAAFL BBS 717-838-8539 (1:270/615) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 270/615 150/220 379/1 396/45 106/2000 633/267 |
