| subject: | Re: Local DCOM function blocks when network cable pulled |
From: "Frank Haber" I don't know enough to know whether what I'm suggesting will set fire to your porch or give your firstborn a hangnail, but how about.... installing a firewire card and bridge it to the NIC. Firewire is treated in a very Ethernet sort of way in XP. It's possible you'd need something connected that would respond. Firewire networking devices are very rare. --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-5* Origin: Barktopia BBS Site http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 379/45 1 633/267 |
