Sometimes you can use Y-adapters without any problems, and other times it can 
damage the equipment. It just depends on the devices. What I would suggest is 
buying an audio transformer with multiple taps on both sides. That way you 
can put both dovices on the same side of the transformer, and there shouldn't 
be any interaction bewteem them.
