On the above point, I would have to say that you are wrong.
I've seen this in action, and it's consistant. I can clean a disk,
put it in an infected system, copy some files to it (and infect it with
NYB), then clean the system, reboot, read those files from the disk, and
then NYB is active on the system again. We fight this virus all the time at
work, and it's the only one left. We have to go to every machine and boot to
a clean floppy, since F-Prot can't see it when the machine is booted up from
the hard drive. It's a nasty one, but we're on top of it.
