After doing a little research, this turns out to be a totally bogus cite
by RAY.  Volume 88 is 1874 cases, not 1986.... FWIW, you'll find 88 US
722 will put you in the middle of "The Lottawanna, 88 US 558 (1874)...

Anyone really surprised?  I thought not.
