subject: last read pointers

Hi Ankur,
AG> I still have not got an answer to this one. How can I let my
AG> users change their last read pointers in any msgarea theyw ant
AG> themselves ? If the answer is too simple to be posted in thsi
AG> echo could someone please email it to me ?
I wasn't totally sure about this but I thought it was right, so I
just tried it and it worked fine. All I did was go into the message area and
entered the message number where I wanted the message pointer to be. I have
1500 messages in this echo. The first time I set it to 1400 and did a QWK
packet. I got 100 messages in the QWK packet. The pointer was then set at
1500. I reset it to 1450 and did another QWK packet. This time I got only
50 messages and the pointer was again set to 1500. The only drawback is that
I'm not using the "unique" message numbering system. Perhaps it'd be a
little different with it, but it probably isn't.
        Good luck.
                                                Victor
