| subject: | BJ-300 Service Manual wan |
Rod, at 10:34 on Apr 29 1996, you wrote to Bill Grimsley... RS> Have you tried that Cooma crowd ? BG> No, what Cooma crowd is this then? RS> Sorry, thought you already knew about them and only needed reminding. RS> They provide a service of renting out service manuals, flogging copys etc. I knew that there was some mob hiring out manuals, but not that they were located in Cooma. Never used them myself, but I did actually ring them a minute or two ago. RS> High Country Service Data (Private Mail Bag #3,Cooma NSW 2630) RS> 064 52 5322 Thanks for that. BG> Given Canon's blatantly restrictive policy regarding the BG> supply of service information, I'd be very surprised if BG> they actually had a BJ-300 manual for sale (or hire), but BG> by the same token, I certainly wouldn't be knocking it back. RS> Yeah, worth an ask. Well, he was a very helpful fellow, but of the 35,000 manuals he keeps in stock, not one of them is from Canon. He's had the same problem, Canon refuse to supply service information to anybody other than their official authorised agents. Might ring Canon in the USA tonight, and if that draws a blank, may have to bite the bullet and pay somebody else to repair the bloody thing.
