MR> Have You tried to tppatch.exe it? (PCBWave) I was a Beta tester for
MR> that door a long time ago. It worked pretty well at the time. I had
MR> the runtime 200 error with renewave ( same author ) and it worked
MR> after tppatch. Same with TGwave. I think PCBwave was the last one he
MR> worked on, so I am not sure if it may just be something else.

I haven't tried running the patch-file, no. Even if I were to get the door
working, I'd still be in the same boat - no way to register it. :-)

MR> 8-) Yeah I do. The first mail reader I ever used was megamail and it
MR> was the first one I had set up. Remember UltraBBS at all? I could not
MR> believe how that Young kid ( I think he was about 14 at the time ) had
MR> almost made a Carbon Copy of PCB, and yet it was like 25.00 to
MR> register.

I don't remember UltraBBS at all, I don't think. I remember GAP boards,
SpitFire, Searchlight and a whole slew of others.

I ran the MegaMail door on my BBS as well. #773 for the serial number of the
reader. Helped beta test the 2.10 version as well.

MR> I know, but some users like BW packets just cuz of the little extra it
MR> affords them when saving messages etc.

I'm with you there. The only QWK readers I know of that can use the extended
TO:, FROM: and SUBJECT: headers that PcBoard 15.x has is 1stReader, I think. I
may have to pull that one of the shelf and started using it if I can't figure
out this GoldEd+_ problem.

MR> And My problem is definitely BW door too... That sucker will not load
MR> to remote side. I dunno... I'll putz around some more.

Good luck. If FidoNet is your only FTSC-techology network, you should be in
business once and if you get the BlueWave door working.

... Those who can, do. Those who can't, write the manual.
