EMX has a PM debugger (pmgdb).  I didn't know gcc/2 was still being
produced, except as the compiler for EMX.

Portability is not an issue with optimization.  The object code isn't
portable with or without optimization.  EMX includes quite a bit of
PC-specific bells and whistles.
