I can't figure out some of the things on Abrams' Enterprise bridge.

What are those things that look like red & white hairdryers sticking up 
above the console?  (You can see pairs of red & black hairdryer-things 
on the two standing consoles.)

And what are those two white folding-handle things?

And what is all that stuff on the wall behind Kirk?

Also, notice how big the Sulu-Chekov console is.  The two of them are 
quite a distance apart.  In TOS, sometimes they had a cute little 
conversation (e.g., "Amok Time").  Here, they are so far apart that they 
can't even coordinate their actions, much less talk to each other.
