NB> Can anyone Identify this Catfish, I purchased it about 15 months ago
NB> when it was approx 1 inch long. It has now grown to about 6 inches in
NB> length. I'ts overall colour is Black, all fins have Orange leading
NB> edges and it has horizontal rows of White Dots from nose to tail, the
NB> dots get larger as they get nearer the tail. All I know about it is
NB> that it is supposedly Pekoltia Species and carries the number L28, any
NB> ideas, I would be interested to know,
I looked in my "Baensch Aquarium Atlas 2". The closest I could come
to the species was Peckoltia brevis. The common name given was
Spotted Pecoltia. Only problem is that the picture is not at all
like your description. It looks something like a pale Plecostumus
(which is a name for a variety of fish.) The given maxium length is
3 inches. So it is probably only a relative to yours. I could find
nothing that resembled your description by goin on picture alone.
Not much help I know but it is the best I can do. Maybe someone
else will have more info
See Ya
