Hi Charles,
With a 1996 vintage Adaptec 2940UW, all three installs of eCS 1.1 to
SCSI I did on the same system - which is mixed EIDE/SCSI- booting were a
real dream - as soon as I realised I had to re-enable the EIDE
controller after the stage1 reboot before the desktop came up or
otherwise it stopped with "unable to find disk2" [no Master on channel],
as I was using an ATAPI CD-RW slave on Primary, with Master-HDD switched
off on removable-drawer - just meant sliding the power latch to ON
during the reboot.
