LN> According to the manual, the filename should be E28641.Z09.
LN> Unfortunately, it seems somebody is renaming the files somewhere.
1. What manual are you reading?
JS> That is just the zip name....once you unzip it it'll be the
JS> right name.
LN> According to the manual, the name of the zip-file should be
LN> E28641.Z09!
2. Again I ask; what manual are you reading? Your file name
above does NOT fit the ZyXel file name convention as listed
in the 2864 Series Modem User's Manual!
LN> Why do I have to guess what you or somebody else fancy to
LN> rename the file to?
3. You don't have to.
a. Try reading Joe's original message. He clearly states that
he obtained his copy from ZyXel as a ZIP archive with the
file name E_109.ZIP.
b. Try reading my message to Joe. I clearly state that I obtained
my copy via ZyXel USA Support BBS as a ZIP archive with the
file name E_109.ZIP.
c. Both files were obtained from verified authentic ZyXel support
sites and are identical. Both files were named by ZyXel and
have NOT been retouched in any way.
LN> While searching, I don't care whether you also have renamed
LN> the contents or not.
4. Try reading the messages again. Better yet, try reading
2864 Series Modem User's Manual.
Document No.: 8406, Rev. 1.0
You'll find what you state above to be..... UNTRUE!
