Boot\archive is created
RMB DT\Properties: Error box titled Lockup "The system is unable to save 
your data".\OK
Properties opens to Lockup tab with repeat of Lockup error box.\OK\No 
auto... is checked.
Archive tab\uncheck Create\close Properties
Shut down\power off\boot\new archive in recovery choices
RMB DT\Properties: Lockup error now a permanent fixture.

Changes to the DT do appear to be saved at shutdown.

What is confused, besides me?
