But things have changed for the worse now. In April 2002 Big Blue has=20
sold out his HD section to Hitachi. Hitachi pays Big Blue now to have=20
the "IBM" label on their disks, but nevertheless these disks still are=20
Hitachi and don't have further any relation to IBM.

So, bottom line, "IBM harddisks" don't exist anymore. When you buy a=20
harddisk with the IBM label on it, it's a Hitachi disk with the Hitachi=20
quality. And that's the reason why so many people had so many troubles=20
with so called "IBM" harddisks in the past few years (in reality IBM=20
already sold Hitachi as IBM even before April 2002).
