KN> 2. The silent treatment, eg people who want to talk about
KN> Megadeth simply find no eager participants in an echo
KN> devoted to prog
I'm voting for the silent treatment.
KN> So, post lots of prog messages, eh? What's in your
KN> changer these days? What were your last ten purchases?
Oh my. I've got in on this sign-up-a-friend to BMG & Columbia House via
the internet deal, and I have 4-8 free CD's coming into my mailbox
daily, which of course can't be a majority of Prog. I already collected
all the Yes & ELP on CD, and they don't carry too much else prog, so
I've been getting Jazz, Blues, Alternative, New Age, and old rock to
replace my worn vinyl. The last batch that came in the mail Fri. & Sat.
was Lonnie Brooks, Allman Bros., Les Claypool, Moby, The Chambers
Brothers, Sting, the Cranberries, Trapeze, Ramones, Dan Baird, Buddy
Miles Express, the Doors, Bonham's kid, The Pretenders, Humble Pie, so
if I start discussing these I'll just make matters worse. I have
a very wide range of musical tastes, you see. I just spent the
afternoon learning some tunes by Hendrix, Delbert McClinton, Little Mike
and the Tornadoes, and Buddy Guy with the drummer and one of the
guitarists from my band, to present to the rest of the group tommorrow,
so that's what's "In my CD changer" right now. I don't think we could
play prog and get any gigs around here .
KN> How do you handle people who love you but hate prog?
KN> What's the capital of Ecuador?
KN> Cheers,
