I've learned something. We've put an USB keyboard onto one of my new 
ordered Epox Nforce, and it worked immediately at boot.
After having a closer looks at the new one it appeared the new one isn't 
exactly the same as the 3 I've purchased earlier this year ..., same 
name, same type, same specs etc... But it has a bios 4/04/2003 iirc, not 
available at the Epox site ( I'd upgraded the other ones to the May 2003 
bios).
So it looks like the 3 earlier mobo do have a problem, and we are 
further investigating this.
Meanwhile, thank you very much for the support.
