For Info - echo participant and Fidonet friend Paul Williams
has been very ill. I learned last night that he has been in
a hospital in San Antonio since Mid-October.  Apparently, he
had a pretty rough time of it for a number of weeks, but has
recently had some significant improvement.  Looks like he may
be released as early as Wed of this week, or perhaps first of
next week.

Paul's participation in the echoes and via email was greatly
hampered starting early to mid-August, when he moved to a new
apartment outside town (Devine TX) and the phone service there
is so poor that he could only do occasional email and seldom
a dialup connection to BBS.

Recently, someone gathered up his laptop and components and brought
them to the hospital, and I did get a test email from him today.
The email capability may well be lost again, when he gets back
to Devine.  I talked to Paul on the phone last night and again
today.  He says it is OK to post this information,  for those who
would like to contact him - -
