I *do* keep the toilet closed all the time (except when in use ), and
I keep the bathroom door closed too. This is a habit I've had forever.
Aside from the safety factor that it provides the birds, I now have this
huge dog, y'see, who LIKES the big water bowl in there...

I've heard so many true variations on this story...but it still sickens
me every time. It's right up there with the person who loved their bird
so much they slept with it at night...and rolled over on it.
