I invested im a book that explains the gun laws in Arizona. They're
stricter in some ways than I thought, and there are a lot of fine lines
drawn. I guess if you shoot a PERSON you don't have to be a cannibal, but it
MUST be in self-defense. Lots of guidelines there, not as liberal as a few
states that I know of.
Although it must be up to the discretion of the judge. I recall a case
a few years ago where a couple of guys held up a man of Chinese ancestry -
robbed his business at gunpoint, then fled. He ran after them after getting
a gun from wherever he kept it, and shot one of them in the @$$. Technically
illegal, as they were fleeing and his life was no longer in danger. He got
cited for firing a weapon in the city limits, PERIOD. The judge threw THAT
one out, too! I suspect it was because the public would have been outraged
to see the storeowner get the shaft; it was quite the subject of discussion
here.
To get back on topic - what is it we were talking about? :)
