'allo Lutz! I don't imagine Nat'l sold too many of the Radio-Tones,
given that their metal-body guitars are so good & reasonably-priced.
LS>the last available here. I played it today. Its loud like
LS>hell, but it's a real unusal sound compared to my style O.
LS>But if they will never be build again ...
I don't know if I said it here, but I played 1) a Dobro "Hula Blues"
model a few days back. Sounded better than the old Regal fake resonator
that I used to have, but I wasn't that impressed. Then I grabbed one of
those chromed Dobro Duolians (they have the rights to that model-name).
All I had was a plastic Bic lighter for a slide, but I put the guitar in E
(appropriate for the "Dobro sound") and had some fun. 3) was a Takamine
12-string that's kind of off-topic if we're talking resonators. Anyway,
it was fun, but hard to 4-finger-pick (I don't know if there's a 12-string
with wide enough space between the string pairs to be easier).
  I haven't played a Radio-Tone. If it sounds like a real, old-style,
wood-body Dobro, then I'd like it. The Hula Blues didn't, exactly.
And I'll have to wait for the Style O. I'm still having fun with the
tri-cone, but I'm more focused on standard guitar playing and the new amp
& Tele-clone. If I stay out of debt (and I plan to), maybe a Weinachten
Geschenk fur mich from myself?? Get yourself the R-tone and tell us how
you like it after 90 days.
See you, MVS
