Hi Thomas, Replying to a message of Thomas Mcwilliams to Ruud Senden: TM> The Symbios (NCR) 810 PCI SCSI-adapter does not have an on-board bios. TM> To properly use an NCR 810, your motherboard must offer bios support. TM> Have you verified that your Aptiva has proper bios support? Even TM> though OS/2 doesn't use the bios for disk i/o once the driver is TM> loaded, the bios is necessary for proper initialization at boot time. TM> It may be that the controller is not being initialized correctly. Actually, you only need the bios support if you intend to boot off of a scsi drive hooked to the 810 controller. If you are booting off ide, the 810 will work fine once the driver is loaded.
