Unless your friend has GREATLY improved the charting section of
this program since I saw the demo (last year), I couldn't recommend
StockEasy to anyone interested primarily in charting.
 
It's basically a portfolio manager with some very limited charting
features tacked on.  A useful addition, perhaps, for someone
keeping an eye on their holdings, but not up with the "real"
charting programs.
 
For a comparison get yourself a copy of the shareware program, PARITY.
