Heck, deep, solid bass hasa ALWAYS been important. Try playing a Sony or
Windham-Hill recording of "1812 Overture" over a system with insufficient
subs - it tends to lose a little something in the translation. A system that
*properly* reproduces the full dynamic range of that cannon blast should be
able to blow the windows out of the car! >:)
