HI Rod

For your own AVT messages the following happened

Not received in Hobart

--------------------
6 of 10 on the 13/4
1 5 14/4
8 11 16/4

Not received in Brisbane
------------------------
6 of 10 on the 13/4
11 11 16/4

All others days since then have been OK

I think that the above losses would have been an overflow on someomes system.

On a number of days there are more of your messages hitting Brisbane than
left Sydney, but this is due to someones system splitting your long
messages. The extra's caused by splitting could however cover a lost
message to Bris and I wouldn't know If you want the count to be exact then
limiting your message length would ensure that the figures for Sydney,
Hobart and Brisbane were all exact.

Should any more glitches appear I will let you know

PAUL EDWARDS LOST

Not received in Brisbane
4 of 6 on the 7/4
7 9 13/4

Jeff GREEN LOST
1 of 1 on the 13/4

All others points of TML appear OK

Keeping track of the messages is made more difficult by the fact that
someones system in Sydney or south of there, mixes the message sequence up,
spreading one persons mail throughout the rest of the TML mail. RS and BL
messages being interspersed with each other is the most common but FIM gets
it sometimes as well.

TO ALL

With relation to Teddy's message in AVT re Mail Mover complaints ( it shows
that they do read the echo) it may be a good idea to discuss in LOCSYSOP
any possible solutions. Some of the points of TML live in other states,
(myself being an example) and it may be that they could act as AVTECH feeds
to those states that are under question. Only VIC and TAS at the moment
but if Dave Hatch cuts Paul off, then QLD and SA would also be affected.

This would in effect make TML the AUSTRALIAN HUB for AVT. Once a feed is
established to each NET or (Capital city) the moving problem becomes a
local one and not a State to State problem This would also have the addd
benifit of eliminating the Black hole problem, (which is sure to return
again sometime) and give a much faster turnaround of AVT mail for all.

As a start, I am quite willing to pick up AVTECH from TML and pass it to
Teddy just as I am doing already for Locuser and some other echos.

This way the person acting as the carrier is an _active_ participant in
AVTECH, and by being so, would make their own personal interest a security
for the continued mail flow.

Think about it.!!!!
The mail movers are saying that _they_ don't agree with the content of
AVTECH and are considering non transport because of that content!

It is their privilege to act in this way if they wish,
but my idea makes _US_ our own carriers

COMMENTS PLEASE !!!!!!!

Cheers
Niels Petersen

PS At the end of April, when all mail has reached it's destination, I will
upload the Excell Spread sheet with the full listing of message posting to
TML
I hope to continue this checking at least for the month of MAY.

If my idea of us being our own carriers for AVT becomes a reality, then my
keeping of these records will become unnecessary.
