The one in my server's a 3-digit display, to display 0 to 199.
I've programmed it to say words that can be spelled in two/three letters. :)
Anyway, back on the subject at hand....

A.E. may well still be viable; as Apple is still manufacturing various 
species of Macs - from Classics (just like the original monochromes, but with 
higher-powered guts) to high-end speed demons that would give a P166 a run 
for its money.
Maybe Supra can subcontract them to manufacture status displays.
