JV> I've seen a compact variety at Wal Mart. I've been buying some
JV> of their discard plants, stuff that's not as pretty as it was
JV> "back when".... I never get the stuff in the ground tho. These
JV> are supposed to be low growing.
That's what I'm talking about, maybe I didn't read about it maybe
I saw it. Hmmm that's no bargain if you don't plant it.
But I won't talk I saw some asparagus roots at Wal Mart and
bought them.....I have no idea what to do with them now. I know
asparagus doesn't do well in FLorida. I also know I it gets
about 5 feet tall between seasons. So I have nowhere to put it
that it will be in the sun without shading the rest of the
garden. So they've been sitting in a bag on the table for 2
weeks now.
JV> The biggest problem with the regular Lantana was it grew too
JV> tall. It was really crowding out my crepe myrtle. They have one
JV> variety that's solid orange and from a distance you'd swear it
JV> was a bed of marigolds.
Oh that sounds pretty. I guess I need to look at it again. I've
been trying to grow flowers in containers. I have a bunch of
those herb pots and been growing them in those. They seem to do a
lot better than when I planted them in the ground.
