Right, and entire books have been written about the question of how to
break down problems (or data) in a way that's well suited to distribution
across multiple processors.  I have a suspicion that people who are used to
thinking this way about programming challenges may also produce code that
works well in multi-threaded environments, even if all of the threads end
up running on a single processor.
