In case you have not heard Tim Strike is alive and well   The author
   of Telegard BBS software disappeared under rumors years ago.  Last
   most of us faithful heard in IRC is that he moved and had a new
   job.  Moving from Canada to Europe and losing all contact.  Attempts
   for several years to find him failed.

   Earlier this year he found me in ICQ and we chatted.  He is alive
   and well.  Has moved yet again but is settlign into his new home.
   He is a busy man in life and in work.  As such I knew he may not
   want to be swamped with requests and emails.  I held the secret
   back for months.  Then asked to break it.  He gave permission.

   Thus in FidoNet TG_Sup I annouced it.

   I just want to get the basic word out that he is alive and around.

   At this point he has no BBS.  Before everyone asks the most common
   questions "wheres he been?" "what about TG?"
"new versions?" and
   many others let me say that I have no answers.  At least yet.

   Since the release I've been emailed, netmailed, IRCed and ICQed
   tons of the questions.  Requsts for his email or ICQ # or to
   be given people's contact info.  I can't and won't until he allows
   it give out any contact info.   I know he would be as swamped with
   questions just as I have.  So when the time is ready he'll either
   show up in person or let me send him the questions to be answered.

   To that end though I've pre-warned him and sent him a FAQ of the
   most common questiosn I myself have and I'm sure everyone else has.
   So hopefully he'll answer it then I'll post it.

   There is already a rumor about a linux version.  Not sure how that
   started when no one but me, as far as I know, has talked to him.
   So hopefully this will prevent other rumors spreading.

   Anyways, when I know you'll know!  I will post most of the
   details in FidoNet TG_Sup and AdventureNet so if your not there
   may want to be to look out for them.
