     Thank you Struther.  Things are indeed progressing nicely, but as
usual, when buying a boat, there are many things to check into - like
making sure I really do own it after I fork over the cash - and not the
government, bank, individual, etc.  Far as I know, he didn't pay any PST
when he bought it and I DO want to make sure I don't end up having to pay
it twice!

        Absolutely!  In fact, I'll be keeping her at the National until I
find good transport to the west coast.  I'll fly in every now and then to
go for a sail - rafting for a weekend sounds like a great idea, you dont
mind if I use your battery power to run my stereo do you? .
  So, on Saturday, I told Tom I'd think about it and give him a call within
24 hours.  I looked at my watch and it read 14:34.  I called him at 14:33
on Sunday and put a deposit on her.  Shortly after, those guys from Quebec
called to buy her!  Yikes, good thing I decided when I did!
  I was really quite embarassed when I was talking to the bank and they
asked me to "please spell "Jeanneau" - you KNOW how I have problems with
that word!   Thanks again for coming out with me to take a look - it was
helpful and appreciated.
