Yes, automount and supermount both. I will need to get more
familiar with these two. :-)

Windows had some problems with the write-back cache for some
years but I _think_ that was addressed in W98 or W98SE. The
problem now is the ID Windows writes to a floppy even if you
only do a directory read on it. It can trash special purpose
floppies by writing to them at that location.

I don't know all the 'cp' switch commands but would prefer
image copies of partitions myself (as backups).
