It will help in the sense that I can do things that would otherwise be 
restricted by not having the option to do them.  I can connect to my vpn 
through it and run a socks server in it so that I can connect eCS 
through the socks server.  I can run a few application on it that I 
cannot run otherwise through it.  It doesn't help do anything to stop 
the monopoly but it does keep me insulated from the worst affects of it.
