I haven't gotten past Mission Three or Four myself, but...
...according to GameSpot's "Unofficial Cadet Training Manual"
(http://www.gamespot.com/features/starfleet2) the KM mission
is indeed part of the game. Not only that, but there subsequent
mission is entitled "Balance of Terror" which apparently involves
some cat-and-mouse hijinks with some Romulans and a Klingon...it's
been way too long since I've watched any TOS episodes so I
couldn't tell you if it relates to the ep or not.
