that's as it should be... the display of messages should be handled by the
remote that is viewing the message... my screen is like 190 characters wide and
reading forced-length 75 character lines wastes a lot of screen space...

as is proper in today's world that is not limited to 80x25 text screens...

correct... ENTER should only be used to terminate a paragraph... whether it is
followed by a blank line or not is up to the person doing the typing...

this is because quoted text is not currently reflowed for display... it could
be but it is not yet done...

you really don't want it to be forced on everyone else... just type your lines
and terminate your paragraphs with an ENTER... if you are trying to make a
table of values, then end each line with an ENTER... it should be seen as a
paragraph but you may need to place a blank line after the ENTER to get your
software to see it as a paragraph...
