Hi Ken, Yes Sir, it is second from the top on my toy wish list and is
shaping up like a September/October acquisition. It really sounds like an
exciting system to have. The money I would save over the LEAP sys would
quickly go into materials for more speakers...8-)
I love woodworking, and exotic woods. Speakers like the Avalons and many
that you see at the high end audio shows are just beautiful and really stand
out in a room. But they just cannot stand up to the rigors and capabilities
(including nonresonance) of composites. At first the basket weave pattern is
intriguing but quickly becomes "butt ugly" after taking up a corner or two
for
a few months. So my next full range or Sub project will be named "Overkill".
Composites lining a medite cabinet with solid wood covering of varying depth.
I am almost afraid to comment on the price of the Liberty system for fear
that someone will read it and begin raising the prices. It sure seems like a
lot of bang for the buck! I could get in all sorts of trouble with that. But
first I MUST replace this ailing 100 Mhz Pentium and ancient hard drive. I
never seriously thought I would see the day, but they have become too slow
for
what I am doing with them. A couple years ago I was so excited to get it I
could hardly speak. Now, it seems to chug along.
Thanks again, Ken!
Cheers, John
