Each individual Win-OS/2 program object (and remember, you can have more
than one) has a setting in the [Win-OS/2 Settings...] dialogue on the
[Session] page of its settings notebook.
The WIN_RUN_MODE setting controls whether that particular VDM is started
with Windows in standard mode, or in 386 enhanced compatibility mode.
To change the *default* for that setting, go to the Win-OS/2 Settings
object in the System Settings folder.
  Notes :
In OS/2, it is not necessary to reboot in order to see the changes
made to a Virtual DOS Machine program object.
In OS/2, you can run a Standard Mode Win-OS/2 VDM simultaneously with
     a 386 Enhanced Mode Win-OS/2 VDM.
