1237e10c5178 tech Hello Pascal - WC>> Well the CD you sent is safely tucked away and Knoppix WC>> installed flawlessly onto my hard drive dual boot. About WC>> the same installation time as for Win 98!!! PS> Win98 without any applications, I take it? And Knoppix with PS> all the goodies that come with it? ;) To level the playing field a bit you would have to compare a Windows XP install to the KNOPPIX install. W98 is going on 6 years old now. ;-) Windows does include 'applications' as do most OS in 2003. KNOPPIX is a well polished representation of a portion of what is available for Linux but is more comparable to an OEM install where there would be many 'applications' included with the main OS all installed at the same time. :-) I am the only person I know that doesn't like using XP. Not saying there aren't any others but I don't meet them here in Michigan. ;-) > > , , > o/ Charles.Angelich \o , > __o/ > / > USA, MI < \ __\__ --- * ATP/16bit 2.31 * ...
