Not as yet.
Currently It saves just fine from the desktop as root
but it's not yet in /etc/fstab or set as an environmenta;l variable as
yet.
Just kind of hangs out there for me to non-destructively
experiment with while maintaining O.S. integrity.
I can specify the path and access it that way right now
or manually mount it.

Yes, I've run into that bit of info.
Gotta start doing my own compiles here.
Just GCC filename IIRC though it been quite some time, say 10 years
since I compiled programs in Linux.
Guess you'd have to CHMOD it executable as well.

I'll snag the source code.

Indeed, I had just exactly this in mind myself.
I also may get a USB 2.0 PCI card for external USB
hard drive backup solution or perhaps soon a
internal recording DVD player as I've now seen them
around the 150 dollar mark.

My default Knoppix loads 16 - 4 Meg ramdrives!!!

 thanks for the tips.

Snip.

Not at all, most impressed here.
I want to mess withthe graphic on the desktop and customise it.

Perhaps snag one of those Kodak disposable cameras
where they offer a digital image CD along with chemical processing
and put my Pit Bull up in place of those cogged wheels.

I've already found the relavent files.
