Yes. But one could also use "red/purple" onion.  I plan to use  both
of these when I make paper.  Christopher had posted back to me
about that.  As I am a gardener/herb fancier, I plan to make papers
thata include these.  It is not only very interesting, but also a great
way of re-cycling  (something that I know to be of some interest to
him   :)
