Growing up in the Lowell, MA, area in those years, I could hear both Worcester and Boston radio stations, and I know I had heard Beatles songs on stations from both cities by the time of the CBS broadcast. I wouldn't swear that WORC was one of them, but I wouldn't be surprised. In those days, I'd just fish around the radio dial looking for stuff that I liked (as I still do now). -- All follow-ups are directed to the newsgroup rec.music.beatles.moderated.
