1237e13951df tech Hello David - PS>>>>> This can be done even under the Unix model, all the PS>>>>> programmer needs to do is use one stat() syscall and PS>>>>> look at the resulting information. CA>>>> Apparently there are security issues at stake as well CA>>>> according to what I find for "automount"? DD>>> It's not 1999 anymore.... CA>> True enough but I haven't seen the "all clear" on that CA>> problem with my own eyes and cannot say if they ever fixed CA>> it or not? DD> And yet your quote said to install the "vendor update".... The portion I quoted was but a snippet of the full page. The impression I have after reading that page was that getting a 'vendor update' was an educated guess since the author didn't actually know that there were any or would ever be any. Not unlike the standard reply to "download the newest drivers" for Windows when no one has checked to see if there are any to download. ;-) > > , , > o/ Charles.Angelich \o , > __o/ > / > USA, MI < \ __\__ --- * ATP/16bit 2.31 * ...
