Bob, at 8' below the surface the tempreture is 55 or 57 degrees F, depending
upon Winter or Summer.  This would seem to work fine for both Summer and
Winter, if a person had a large enough area.  I certainly do not know the
math for this, but as you draw air through the holes it would tend to bring
them toward the outside air tempreture.
Sounds like you might know, how long a "borehole" would it require to cool
a 2000 Square foot house to 72 Degrees F when the outside air tempreture
is 100 F.  Also how many acres would be required for this?
